Bug Description

Until Ubuntu Jammy, LiVES is packaged in the official repository, while, after it, it isn't there anymore. I suppose it should be maintained again even in current versions, since the latest version (3.2.0), which isn't available to install, contains tons of improvements, compared to the currently packaged version.

If you visit https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lives and click View full publishing history, you can see why a package was removed.

In this case, it was removed because lives no longer builds from source because Debian and Ubuntu have switched to ffmpeg 6. See https://bugs.debian.org/1013421 and https://github.com/salsaman/LiVES/issues/49 for more details.

Once that issue is fixed, lives can be reintroduced to future release of Ubuntu.
