could we first add a small oneshot daemon script in pi-bluetooth that calls:

echo -e 'power on\nquit' | bluetoothctl

else the BT is not properly powered and thus non-functional when other snaps try to use it ...

pi-bluetooth is now included in both server and desktop images via the support-raspi-common platform-specific seed (https://git.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-dev/ubuntu-seeds/+git/platform/tree/supported-raspi-common).

This won't be fixed in Groovy (which is now EOL), and is already fixed in Hirsute and Impish. I'll leave the Focal targetting for now, as this ought to be fixed in the next Focal point-release.

Closing as won't fix (for focal) for the reasons enumerated in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/1922792/comments/10 (tl;dr: we'll include pi-bluetooth in desktop images, not in server images).

Changed in livecd-rootfs (Ubuntu Focal):
status: Confirmed → Won't Fix
