Bug Description
Binary package hint: lirc
it wouldn't install from the update manager. Doesn't your software automatically record details of things like that?

I may also have caught this bug.
Distupgrage failed so I tried the following:
family@family:~$ sudo dpkg --configure --debug=2 lirc dpkg/info/ lirc.postinst ( configure 0.8.7~pre3-0ubuntu1 ) dpkg/info/ lirc.postinst
Setting up lirc (0.8.7-0ubuntu4) ...
D000002: fork/exec /var/lib/
dpkg: error processing lirc (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 128
Errors were encountered while processing:
lirc
family@family:~$ sudo /var/lib/
* Loading LIRC modules [ OK ]
* Starting remote control daemon(s) : LIRC [ OK ]
As you can see running the post install script from the term completes with out error.
this was the 4'th box i had upgraded and the only one to have a problem (with lirc).
should i create another bug report?
