Bug Description

I installed the following packages using synaptic:
lirc
lirc-modules-source
lirc-x

i restart linux. But nothing happens. I don't have /dev/lirc, and:
$ modprobe lirc_i2c
FATAL: Module lirc_i2c not found.

What can i do, without compiling using the sources of lirc ?
I use Kworld 878a tv tuner and it works, but i want to use remote controler too.

In dapper it seems to be broken. With Myth 0.20 being in the repos we need this up and running as well.

You need to compile the modules as described in /usr/share/doc/lirc-modules-source.
