Bug Description
Binary package hint: lirc
$ lsb_release -rd
Release: 9.04
# apt-cache policy lirc
Installed: 0.8.4a-0ubuntu3
Problem when running `dpkg-reconfigure lirc`:
* Unable to load LIRC kernel modules. Verify your
* selected kernel modules in /etc/lirc/
lirc.postinst has call `/etc/init.d/lirc start`, where you find on line 25:
modprobe -k $mod 2> /dev/null || MODULES_
`man modprobe` describes no option "-k". If I remove the "-k" from the init script, it works, and all of the install process runs smoothly.
Klem fra Nils
