Bug Description

Hello guys.I am new in ubuntu and i bought a brand new laptop acer aspire 5745-dg with windows but i put and ubuntu together.My problem is that the brightness changes from windows but i cannot change it inside ubuntu,for example the fn keys don't work and i cant change the brightness from power management too.The funny part is that the fn keys for the sound work great!My problem is that the brightness is always at maximun as a result to reduce my battery life!!I have reported this problem to many sites but noone could help me..:/I have already tried to change some lines in grub but nothing changed.I also have heared that this might be a bios problem...Can you please help me with this serious problem???I would appriciate that!!!

Can you try booting with the option:
acpi_backlight=vendor

This may be a duplicate of bug 941286
