It looks like this regression crept in with commit 3114ea7a. That commit was
sent to stable kernel series, but commit 149774 (which fixed a bug in the
above commit) was not.

Trond, any chance you can send 149774 to stable as well? We might also want
to take that into Fedora for now until it makes its way into stable kernels.
