2012-03-01 21:10:24 Andrei description This bug was also present in 11.10. The fix is (searched Google to find this): 1. Open a terminal and type in "sudo gedit /etc/default/grub" 2. Find the line starting with "GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT" 3. Add "acpi_osi=Linux acpi_backlight=vendor" to the options (default was "quiet splash") 4. Type in terminal "sudo update-grub2" 5.
