Bug Description
I was at a LUG meeting with a friend who has a 1.6GHz Pentium M class Thinkpad X40 laptop. I downloaded the i386 daily live CD today and booted from it on a USB stick. Unfortunately we were hit by bug 897786 which means 12.04 only supports PAE-enabled kernels.
Could we please enable some method for my friend (and others like him) to install Ubuntu 12.04 LTS non-PAE kernel on these devices?
I do not have direct access to the device but will suggest my friend subscribes to this bug and provides whatever information is required.
