wireless not working on Dell Vostro 1500 in precise

Bug Description

user reports that wireless networking is not working on a Dell Vostro 1500. I believe that he later switched back to 10.04 or 11.10 so there may not be more info available on this. Please close if the info is insufficient to proceed.

Thanks for reporting this, but can you tell me a bit more about the issue? First, does it involve gnome-nettool or just Ubuntu in general? Can you elaborate more on what you did and what went wrong?

Chad, I am taking what info is in the question and adding it here. I am also moving this out of this bucket. gnome-nettool is a tool for doing things like ping and traceroute and doesn't do anything with wifi.
