Bug Description

Hello,
I noticed freeze issues when unplugging USB devices (hard drive ou key).
The problem has been encoutered on 10.04 LTS.
Before, my computer was running on 8.04 LTS without any problem. An even rigth after the upgrade toward 10.04 LTS, there was no problem. It apperared suddenly in may or june 2011. I supposed it was linked to a kernel update.
The kernel level of the 10.04 LTS CD-ROM was 2.6.32-28.
The kernel level when I saw the problem was 2.6.32-33.
I decided to uninstall 2.6.32-33 to comme back to a previous version.
By unistalling just 2.6.32-33 (then running on 2.6.32-32), it solved the issue!
Then I reinstalled 2.6.32-33: The problem appeared again.
Thus I uninstalled 2.6.32-32 a second time, and the problem disappeared.
Then no doubt seems possible for me: The issue is due to "linux-image-2.6.32-33-generic"

This problem has occurred on two separate systems of mine both running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and does seem to be associated with a recent kernel update to 2.6.32-32.
