I used apport to gather machine details while Natty was running. The error actually occurs during the Oneiric installer boot. The installer was downloaded via testdrive and was synced today (21st January 2011).

Hopefully this is enough detail, Apport is a poor way to report a bug in the installer!

Same here, using testdrive too, synced today, 29th JUNE, so still a problem six months on?

And I agree, Apport's useless for installers.

Hmm, I don't know why it says January in my comment, it should say June!

There weren't any Oneiric builds 5 months ago :)

Same here on a Compaq NC6000 with the Oneiric Alpha 3.

Please fix! The number of show stopper bugs seem to be rising quickly after 10.10!
