Bug Description

MacBookPro6.2 with Natty (dev branch 2011-03-26), running:

sudo /usr/share/checkbox/scripts/suspend_test --full

Tests 1 through 4 succeeded. Test 5 appeared to successfully resume as well, but after resuming, apport caught this kernel error.

I will rerun the tests once they finish to see if this is repeatable.

The system generally has no problems suspending and resuming, when suspending with the 'normal' methods (power button, closing the lid, or selecting suspend from the logout menu).

And "Test 5" here is: 1) unplug AC, 2) suspend, 3) connect AC, 4) resume

I repeated this test, with no errors on test 5 the second time through the tests.

Hi Chad,

The warning reported here typically indicates that it took longer for your system to resume from suspend than expected. I believe there is a 5 sec barrier which your system likely exceeded. Based on your dmesg output I see PM: resume devices took 8.690 seconds. A patch to prevent this warning has been applied via bug 464552. As a result I'm marking this as a duplicate to bug 464552. Please continue to track this issue at that report. Thanks!
