Bug Description

Hi,
I opened https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35384 because of system freeze on fast effect switchings with compiz/unity. The workaround proposed was successful, so the correct fix in the kernel was referenced thereafter.

This patch is already included in latest 2.6.38-7 natty kernel, can you test if it is fixed with it?

I removed my xorg.conf with the workaround and the default settings do work OK for me. I think it is fixed.
