Ubuntu restarts when I try suspend or hibernate

I have Ubuntu 10.10 and a netbook. While trying to suspend or hibernate, the netbook restarts. This happened too on Ubuntu 10.04.
I have no way to know the error, because I can't log any notice when suspending.
