Bug Description

My wireless card connects immediately upon log-in but disconnects within several (usually 1-5) minutes. I can still see the networks through NetworkManager but when trying to reconnect I am asked for the WEP key and the connection eventually times out after failing to connect.

Restarting the network manager (sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart) does not fix the problem. Only restarting the computer will let the computer connect to the networks but the problem occurs every time even I log in.

Just some additional information:

I originally installed the most recent Ubuntu server kernel and ran into the problem above so I installed the generic Ubuntu kernel (which is what the above report is based on).

Also, the computer dual boots with Windows 7 and the wireless card hasn't had any connection problems under Windows, so I do not think its a hardware problem.

This is my first bug report to Ubuntu and while I included the information requested, if anyone can think of anything else to include please let me know.
