This affects me as well. I have a Lenovo V570. I just cropped up a week or two ago, but suspend/resume worked fine for me beforehand without hiccup. I noted a bit of ACPI fussiness in syslog (see attached). I'm tempted to enable hibernation and forget about it, but I'm willing to help in whatever way I can to fix this issue, just point me in the right direction.
