I can confirm this.

My setup is similar to the above.

Sometimes the system is not able to go into standby and crashes completely.

I too have this serious problem with 10.10 .System just hangs with the message
"*ERROR* render ring head not reset to zero ctl 00000000 head XXXXXXX tail 00000000 start XXXXX
*ERROR* render ring head forced to zero ctl 00000000 head 00000000 tail 00000000 start XXXX "

instead of going to Standby . Any fixes for this problem? It needs a hard reboot to recover.

May it be a duplicate of #660405?

As this bug originator I can confirm that my laptop does not freeze following resume. The error in question is merely spam for me.

Is this a duplicate then or not?
