Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.35-22-generic

Kernel regression, working on a Sony Vaio VPCEB24FX laptop. Touchpad works fine from live cd, however, if you run updates during installation, the touchpad no longer works. Reinstalled without running updates, and the touchpad worked fine until the kernel was upgraded. Running any variant of 2.6.35-22 (generic or PAE) resulted in a loss of touchpad function. Booting from the previous kernel in GRUB allowed the touchpad to work again.
