Bug Description
The touchpad in Dell Latitude E4310 not detected by kernel. I have no Touchpad tab in Mouse settings. Features such as double scroll and side scroll don't work. There's no touchpad in /proc/bus/
As described in https:/
$ cat /proc/bus/
$ xinput --list > xinput
$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log > Xorg.0.log
And the following:
$ uname -a > uname-a.log
$ cat /proc/version_
$ dmesg > dmesg.log
$ sudo lspci -vnvn > lspci-vnvn.log

This kernel works for me (I have a E4310 too): /launchpad. net/~xorg- edgers/ +archive/ ppa/+files/ linux-image- 2.6.35- 20-generic_ 2.6.35- 20.29_i386. deb

Don't use more recent kernels though (*-21 and *-22) since they are affected by this bug: /bugs.launchpad .net/ubuntu/ +source/ linux/+ bug/641091
