Hi Ritz,
Please be sure to confirm this issue exists with the latest development release of Ubuntu. ISO CD images are available from http://
apport-collect -p linux 614085
Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https:/
Thanks in advance.

Have tried to make a nem install the last week with different daily
builds and alpha 3 using the make start disk utility in Ubuntu 9.04. and
unetbooting in windowsXP on differet usb sticks that normally work as
bootdisks. But they all end with errors like:
SYSLINUX 3.63 Debian-2008-07-15 EBIOS Copyright (C) 1994-2008 H. Peter Anvin
Unknown keyword in configuration file.
boot:
So I don't know if it is fixed or not.

I am affected too.
~$ uname -a; Linux MD97600 2.6.35-22-generic #32-Ubuntu SMP Wed Sep 15 23:39:25 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux
I laugh at the statement #4 of Ritz: "Fix Released."

I am also affected by this problem. The virtual consoles are unusable due to the very large resolution.

You should disable the Vesa FB. LINUX_DEFAULT= "quiet splash" LINUX_DEFAULT= "video= vesafb: off quiet splash"
Edit the /etc/defaul/grub and modify the
GRUB_CMDLINE_
to
GRUB_CMDLINE_
The run as root the following:
# update-grub
# grub-install <The device where the bootblk should be stored, in general /dev/sda or /dev/hda>
