Hello !! I'm watching this topic a few months ago. As I understand it, the driver was already released to the Linux kernel, right? so I hoped so upgrade my kernel (automatically by ubuntu) driver to be recognized! Linux 3.2.0-32-generic-pae #51-Ubuntu SMP Wed Sep 26 21:54:23 UTC 2012 i386 GNU/Linux I have Inspiron 14R 5420. After i run: sudo rmmod psmouse && sudo modprobe -v psmouse i get: insmod /lib/modules/3.2.0-32-generic-pae/kernel/drivers/input/mouse/psmouse.ko proto=imps so there's a driver, right? ok! but when I cat /proc/bus/input/devices I: Bus=0011 Vendor=0002 Product=0001 Version=0000 N: Name="PS/2 Generic Mouse" P: Phys=isa0060/serio1/input0 S: Sysfs=/devices/platform/i8042/serio1/input/input18 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=mouse1 event8 B: PROP=0 B: EV=7 B: KEY=70000 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 B: REL=3 full on ( http://pastebin.com/NitkME7c ) somebody can help-me what passes should i do ? previously thankful!
