Bug Description
Samsung NC10 will not resume from suspend. Originally, I thought that this was related to bug #340014, but after booting with nohdparm and without pmpowersave the problem persists. Steve Langasek told me that I had a separate bug and requested that I post it here.
The following situations result in frozen screen upon attempting to resume the computer:
Battery power, calling for suspend from System > Shut Down...
Battery power, calling for suspend by closing laptop screen
Battery power, calling for suspend by using function key (Fn + Esc)
AC power, calling for suspend by closing laptop screen
AC power, calling for suspend by using function key (Fn + Esc)
Note that calling for suspend by System > Shut Down... while on AC power does not result in the freeze up (95% of the time).
Also note that I am able to duplicate the problem when booting from a Live USB.

I've found that setting lock_suspend in gconf-editor> apps>gnome- power-manager to "off" allows the computer to return to my "pre-suspend" screen after I resume. However, this screen is frozen and does not recognize input from the keyboard or mouse. This is better than returning to a black screen, of course, but equally useless.
