Bug Description
I have a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop (64-bit) with two harddisks built-in. So my attempt was to install Ubuntu with a software-RAID (RAID 1).
As the live CD does not offer such an option on installation, I downloaded the Alternate version and created the RAID, installed Ubuntu and then had troubles (reported already).
Then I reinstalled with the desktop live CD as I considered the alternate version not very stable. On installation when it gets to partitioning I have simply chosen to use the entire disk.
After installation I tried to make an image from the entire disk with CloneZilla which told me that it can't do an image from a RAID member. Investigating, I found out that the swap partition somehow had a flag still set that it is member of a RAID system.
Maybe because the Live CD can't install RAID systems it maybe also can't recognize them.
In my latest attempt I used the alternate medium to remove the RAID and all partitions and then started install again from the Live CD which now seems to work ok. CloneZilla still does not create the image but that is a different problem now (I guess)...
