Bug Description

I can not install 10.04 on BeagleBoard. Installer fails to find network device. My network device is:

Bus 001 Device 002: ID 9710:7830 MosChip Semiconductor MCS7830 Ethernet

Could you please add driver for this in new installers?

Timo,
you have to search for the driver and add it to the initrd.gz

This fix will require an image respin to be available to users of the netinstall images. That is unlikely to happen until 10.04.1 release.

Accepted linux-ti-omap into lucid-proposed, the package will build now and be available in a few hours. Please test and give feedback here. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Thank you in advance!
