I have tried 9.04, 9.10, and 10.04. this happens in only ubuntu and not in windows. It will freeze and lock up and I have to hold the power down and restart my computer. I don't know if it is at idle when this happens, all I know is that when I walk away and come back sometimes it is frozen and the computer is warmer than usual.
