Bug Description
This is on Lucid as of release, with kernel 2.6.32-22-generic from lucid-proposed (not specific to this kernel version; it also happened during the alpha stage).
The driver for the Atheros AR8132 / L1c ethernet card freezes the computer when attempting to copy ~ 5GiB files over ssh/sftp. I can reproduce this systematically by copying a 2.5GiB iso repeatedly. It takes 2-3 copies to trigger the bug. Unfortunately the problem does not get logged in any way.
I have tested this with the mainline kernel 2.6.33-

Hi pablomme,
If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/KernelMainl ineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs- upstream- testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs- upstream- testing' text. Please let us know your results.
Thanks in advance.
