#569011 was where I originally reported this bug, due to some confusion with launchpad I now appear to have two accounts, so I couldnt post to the bug with the new account.
See #569011 for the original report.

Lucid appears to freeze on me after an unspecified length of time. This did not happen on Karmic, and my hardware has not changed inbetweenwhiles.
Once the freeze has begun, web browsers cannot connect to web pages, then opening a terminal will not get a prompt, just the window opens. Finally, after a bit longer the whole system freezes requiring SysRq+REISUB to restart and get going again.
This also happens without using the fglrx driver.
