Bug Description

On boot, I seem to be getting several "broken pipe" messages that I wasn't seeing in Karmic. Probably unrelated, as I was seeing these before installing drivers for the wireless card, which seems to have caused this crash.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please answer these questions:

* Is this reproducible?
* If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?

If you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

I am closing this report because the bug has been fixed in the latest development version of Ubuntu - Maverick Meerkat. It won't be fixed in previous versions of Ubuntu because the package doesn't fit the requirements for backporting. See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports for more information.

Thanks to NoOp for finding this in Debian. You assistance is really appreciated.
