Bug Description
When inserting blank CDs / DVDs nothing happens. This behavior seems to be happening since the last kernel update. I get the following error message from dmesg:

Confirmed here too! I could erase a CDRW & DVDRW, but then Ubuntu won't read the blanks, I then tried blank CD-R and DVD-R and its the same thing I cannot use blanks!
Have to return to windows to burn some ISO's!
