Bug Description
Hey,
I have some Symbio thin clients here which are based on the Clientron U800 hardware. They are desktop computers and so don't have a LVDS.
Until a few days/weeks ago, there used to be a patch making any device without a lid switch to have its LVDS disabled. For some reason, that patch got dropped and so my thin clients are now trying to start in a dual-head setup when they only have one display plugged in.
I'd propose the following patch to drivers/

That's affecting the current 2.6.32 in Lucid (2.6.32-17 as of today).
Patch has been proposed on dri-devel for inclusion in the mainline kernel.
