Bug Description

Binary package hint: light-themes

Wifi device is Ralink RT2860, on a EeePC 901, lucid 386 liveCD session (classic one, not netbook):

Just after wifi network key setup (WPA2), all interface is freezed: No more mouse action possible.

Switching to tty0, dmesg reveals:

===>rt_ioct_giwscan. 5(5) BSS returned, data->length = 637
ERROR!!! RTMPCancelTimer failed, Timer hasn't been initialize!
===>rt_ioct_giwscan. 7(7) BSS returned, data->length = 866
===>rt_ioct_giwscan. 13(13) BSS returned, data->length = 1618
===>rt_ioct_giwscan. 13(13) BSS returned, data->length = 1606
==>rt_ioct_siwfreq::SIOSIWFREQ[cmd=0x8b04] (Channel=3)

Do not ask me to retrieve more data as they must be copied by hands from a tty to another computer...

This bug seems to affect all recent distributions (I also tried PCLinuxOS) and may be a duplicate of this one:

As notified in this bug report, Ralink seems to have a working module that should be taken for Lucid...
