m not sure how to reproduce it... after adding a 500gb hdd i was reinstalling ubuntu9.10 (64)
i guess it happened after installing ntfs configuration tools...
please ask me whatever is relevant

I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
