Bug #526460 reported by Computer Technician

Bug Description

1) Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (development release) build date 20100207
    kernel: 2.6.32-14-generic
2) Synaptic 0.62.5
3) This bug occurs every time after I bring my workstation out of hibernation and logging into Gnome. I'm not sure if the following problem is related but my mouse pointer is not visible but is still usable. I have to log out of Gnome and then the mouse pointer reappears at the second Gnome login from hibernation. However, whenever I log into Gnome the second time from hibernation the bug still occurs.
4) There doesn't appear to be any problems at the user level but I usually reboot the computer after Apport reports the bug. This is a consistent behavior of this bug occurring after every wake-up from hibernation until reboot. The reboot appears to remedy the problem because I do not receive this bug report from Apport while using the operating system for many hours.

Hi Computer,

The warning reported here typically indicates that it took longer for your system to resume from suspend than expected. I believe there is a 5 sec barrier which your system likely exceeded. Typically you'll see something similar to "PM: resume devices took 8.664 seconds" in your dmesg output when this happens. A patch to prevent this warning has been applied via bug 464552. As a result I'm marking this as a duplicate to bug 464552. Please continue to track this issue at that report. Thanks!
