Bug Description

Logitech Quickcall is a cheap sophisticated USB microphone which unfortunately doesn't appear to adhere strictly to the USB Audio standards.

Developer David Gibson has created a pythin script that enables support for the microphone. It'd be pretty cool if we could come up with a package that would automatically install support if a Quickcall is detected (a bit like we do with Broadcome wifi chips or nVidia graphics cards).

I've now replaced qcfrob.py with improved support from a udev-launched daemon, quickcalld. Source is at
git://bilbo.ozlabs.org/~dwg-gitosis/repositories/quickcalld.git. I've been meaning to package this for a while, but haven't had time yet.

How do I build this. The make file gives me a lot of errors. Can someone please create a configuration script which checks for prerequisites before make? I would be more than happy to package it if dependencies are resolved.

Hrm, a configure script just for that seems overkill, but I really should add that info to a readme.

For now, however, the things you're probably missing are: libusb-dev, libhid-dev and libasound2-dev.
