On my new Acer Aspire 1410-Kk22 that I bought in Japan, suspending was not working. When I tried to come back from suspend, the wireless, keyboard, and a number of other things would become unresponsive. I could still open new programs with my mouse, but even shutting down would fail. Once I added "blacklist acer-wmi" to "/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf", all my problems were solved. Please make this the default configuration to this kind of laptop. Thank you.

Sounds more like we should fix the driver rather than blacklist it for everyone

Yes, I have the same problems with wi-fi on my Acer Aspire 1410. Also, after awakeing, terminal doesn't work(not gnome-terminal, not terminator, not tilda, not xterm).

Hi RabidNelson,

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.
