Acer Timeline 4810TG internal microphone does not work

I have a fresh install of Karmic. The internal microphone does not work, only the external one.

Fix:
Opening alsamixer. Go to the "Capture" device and then mute (using the Z key) only the left channel while keeping the right channel up.

Please reproduce the symptom after installing
linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic-generic and rebooting.

I just tested skype and it's only working with an external microphone. This might be a problem with skype.
