Post 9.10 install/upgrade. Wireless networking stops working - interface becomes eth1_rename

Bug Description

After installation of Kubuntu 9.10 WLAn works fine - until the System has been restarted a couple of times. Then the WLAN card seems to be deactivated:

Also experienced network ceasing to work on kubuntu 9.10 after a few reboots (toshiba m200 + intel 2210 wireless card)

others seem to be having similar issues...

If it happens next time, try to press once the [FN] + [activate WLAN] shortcut when the system is properly running and restart the system.

I fixed it always after a couple of restarts...

I guess, that these shortcuts are working properly and i just deactivated it by mistake (My cat loves wandering over the keyboard..)
