Using Wacom Bamboo Pen (CTL-460/K) and Kubuntu 10.04 LST here, followed the instructions here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=9119518&postcount=782 and that made it work perfectly, including pressure sensitivity in GIMP. Not very user-friendly, though :(
