Could not klick on task bar, only active Firefox responded. Removed usb adapter for wireless Logitech Nano NX(?) mouse. Same problem confiirmed with on keyboard trackPoint. Problem vanished when I reinserted the usb wireless mouse adapter

While surfing I wanted to alter something in the ubuntu 9.10 system menu. The Panel didn't react. After servera attempts I unplugged the Logitech Nano NX mouse wireless usb adapter and tried with the built in trackPoint device instead. The response was the same. I again plugged in the usb wireless device and then the panel started to work again.
I've had exactly the same problem with ubuntu 9.04
