BUG: scheduling while atomic: swapper/0/0x10010000

I'm using Ubuntu Karmic on a Dell Inspiron 1501. When I try to start my wireless card I get a message that the system encuntered a serious kernel error, followed by the crash report. I also get messages at startup about missing firmware. Here it is form the user.log file.

Installing b43-fwcutter did not change the situation. The hardware is not borken, because it works with the driver downloaded form the manufacturer's (Broadcom) site.
