Bug Description

Well I don’t exactly what’s happened.

I wasn′t working on my computer. The screen was locked. The screensaver starts normally. Then the computer starts to hibernate.
This was normal. But when I switch my computer on, he was a little more slow, and this bug report message appears.

I don’t know what’s happened, but the application tells me it may be a serious problem with the kernel...

However, I haven’t restart my computer between, and it seems to work.

I′m on Ubuntu Karmic Koala.

I’ve tried to make an update recently, and the memory (the « mémoire cache », I do not know the name in English, sorry) may be filled... But I don’t think this is the problem.

Hoping that will be enough...

I seem to have this very same problem since I upgraded to 9.10. Before I'm sure I did not have this problem when waking up the computer from hibernation state.

Hi Martin,

The warning reported here typically indicates that it took longer for your system to resume from suspend than expected. I believe there is a 5 sec barrier which your system likely exceeded. Based on your dmesg output I see PM: resume devices took 5.172 seconds. A patch to prevent this warning has been applied via bug 464552. As a result I'm marking this as a duplicate to bug 464552. Please continue to track this issue at that report. Thanks!
