this crash appeared once I plugged in the laptop, after the process of:
* using the battery for a while,
* shutting down the computer, and
* turn it on again.
* (then I plugged it in, and the crash apeared)
using karmic beta on a macbookpro 5.5

The warning reported here typically indicates that it took longer for your system to resume from suspend than expected. I believe there is a 5 sec barrier which your system likely exceeded.
