Bug Description
Hi ,
I its some time i am using linux , ubuntu especially . I am happy with other things besides one problem .:
" that my wireless card card is not supported by ubuntu ..: " it is netgear wg111v3 having RTL8187B chipset . It was not working in jaunty and neither it is working 'satisfactorily' in karmic . I even tried updating to kernel 2.6.32 rc5 after performing an dist-upgarde ( i installed karmic from the beta cd )(through my ethernet)but that thing also didn't worked out ..
Karmic detects the device right also it displays my network correctly but when i try to connect to it , karmic wont connect, it again and again keeps on asking for the password , i tried both wpa 1 and 2 (I am sure to enter the password right )., tried to set the mtu value to 1492 but none works ..
It connected only once but drops out fast. i am trying to connect to it for a week now and finally decided to file a bug for it..
I could not get to attatch the files through ubuntu , so i did it through mediafire. Sorry for this..
http://
I hope Ubuntu Team would take it seriously( As many other people are also facing problems ) . And pls if you are able to , Include this bug fix in the final release of karmic
Thanking you..

Hi tarung1793,
This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http:// cdimage. ubuntu. com/releases/ .
If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications- >Accessories- >Terminal) . It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report.
apport-collect -p linux 459732
Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/KernelMainl ineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs- upstream- testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs- upstream- testing' text. Please let us know your results.
Thanks in advance.
