automatic re-suspend after partial resume

Bug Description

Sometimes when resuming from suspend, the laptop almost gets to an active password prompt, when it decides to suspend again.

I am awakening the laptop by opening the lid. The screen comes on showing the password prompt, but I cannot type in the field. Then the laptop quickly suspends again.

Waking it up with the power button works.

This happens at apparently random times.

Hi Alan,

The warning reported here typically indicates that it took longer for your system to resume from suspend than expected. I believe there is a 5 sec barrier which your system likely exceeded. Based on your dmesg output I see PM: resume devices took 5.248 seconds. I'm setting this to traiged for further investigation. Thanks!
