Bug Description

When trying to boot Karmic, I get this error in dmesg:
[ 24.055986] acerhdf: unknown (unsupported) BIOS version Acer/Aspire 1680 /3A01, please report, aborting!
This appears similar to other bug reports, but I didn't see one for this particular computer model.

Hi fergie4000

I see from your logs that there is a newer kernel than the one you are using available. An upgrade should make the bug go away.

This particular bug has already been reported and is a duplicate of bug 435958, so it is being marked as such. Additionally, any further discussion regarding the bug should occur in the other report. Feel free to continue to report any other bugs you may find.

Thank you for taking the time.
