Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:

apport-collect 442663

This will help us to find and resolve the problem. Bear in mind that you may need to install the python-launchpadlib package from the universe repository. Additionally, when prompted to give apport-collect permissions for Launchpad you will need to give it at least the ability to "Change Non-Private" data as it will be adding information to your bug report. Thanks in advance!

When reporting bugs in the future please use apport, either via the appropriate application's "Help -> Report a Problem" menu or using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

There is nothing in BootDmesg.txt matching the messages that you are indicating that you saw. Could you please attach a picture of the boot messages so we can track down where they are coming from? Thanks in advance.

Here I will try to upload the video showing the messages. Those messages were from a screendump on tty1. I think
they indeed changed. This is the screendump from today:

/dev/sda3: clean, 162237/4808704 files, 1185187/19205707 blocks

Skipping profile in /etc/apparmor.d/disable: usr.bin.firefox-3.5 [ OK ]
 * Setting up console font and keymap... [ OK ]

You will notice that we hear the logout sound before the login sound. I have no idea if the bugs
are correlated, so I've posted that one as a different bug:

Also, as you see, I get about 20 seconds of a cursor blinking. Should there be a ubuntu logo there?

Thanks for including the video. After reviewing it I believe this bug report is a duplicate of bug 438335 and am marking it as such.
