Bug Description
The normal operation of my internal CD/DVD player has changed when upgrading from Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10, kernel 2.6.31.11. Prior to this upgrade, I could open the disc tray by manually pushing the eject button on the unit, with or without a disc inserted. After the upgrade and once a disc is inserted and mounted, I can no longer eject a disc or open the disc tray by manually pushing the eject button. I can eject the disc by selecting the disc, and choosing Eject from the menu. I cannot open the tray after this. The only way to open the disc tray is to perform a restart or shutdown. After reboot the unit works normally until I insert a disc. During the time a disc is inserted, normal operations seem to work such as playing audio files or reading data. As a point of reference, if I reboot to my Windows Vista partition, all CD/DVD unit operations work as expected.
