Shutdown and reboot does not turn off the power

Shutting down the laptop is not turning the power off.

Same problem here.

This happens for both shutdown and reboot.
Worse is i'm having to force shutdown and the / keeps having errors which needs a fsck on the next boot!

Fixed in 2.6.31-8 for me.
