Bug Description

This failure to resume occurs in Karmic (64-bit) with 2.6.31-5 kernel. It is distinct from the similar bug I reported earlier in Jaunty, which was fixed by using the command-line --quirk-none option.

The same machine now suspends and resumes correctly in Jaunty and fails to resume in Karmic with the same quirk setting. Can someone please look into this - it looks as if apport has collected a good deal of information, but I can sen specific logs if requested.

This is reproducible; suspend works, but resume fails every time, leaving the screen blank and the keyboard and trackpad unresponsive. No way out except power off. It has been like this since early in the Karmic testing; I don't recall when the upgrading from Jaunty broke resume, but it was some time ago.

ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from resuming properly.
